Younginsan Forest Museum is located in Younginsan Natural Forest. It takes about 20-30 minute hike up the mountain to get to the museum. It was designed by METAA ( Metabolic Evolution Through Art and Architecture http://www.metaa.com/ ) and opened in 2012. The main exhibition building shows information on eco-system and how to preserve and protect forest. The second building connected by a bridge from the main building provides more tactile experience – smell of tree room, relaxation room, etc. Exterior material is mostly wood and stone. The roof of the main building caught my attention the most, sloping here and there to continue the hiking activity and showing the mountains in 360 degrees.
