Designed by Hyeong Woo Han of Space Yeon Architects, LeeJinAh Memorial Library was built to commemorate Jin Ah Lee who passed away while she was studying in US in 2003. Her family donated money to Seodaemun-gu to build a library in her name, since their daughter loved reading. The building is mainly comprised of bricks on exterior and wood in interior. Center of the building is opened up to let daylight in, and it goes well with the translucent staircase. The general library is double height with a glass curtain wall which allows view to the park outside the library to readers on both lower and upper levels.
