Wangjing SOHO in Beijing, China has opened last Saturday, September 20th, 2014. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects*, Wangjing SOHO’s main exterior finish materials are glass and aluminum panels. Aluminum panels were worked out through scripting and rationalizing to make as many panels the same form and flat or single-curvature panels. From B1 to F2 is retail and from then on is all office space. Tower 3 is the highest of the three towers, 42 stories high, reaching 200m at its higest point. Surrounding the buildings are gardens and water features, also designed to connect fluidly with the built environment.

Site area : 115,392sqm | Total floor area : 521,265sqm
Address: Wangjing SOHO, Wangjing Street at Fu An Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing

*This was my last project in Beijing before I left in 2011. This is where Design for “by” of Korea comes in. Design for by of Korea is opened to introducing design work produced for, by, or of Korea/Korean, regardless of their physical location.
