Organized by ‘Design’ monthly magazine, Seoul Design Festival http://designfestival.co.kr/, held from December 18th to 22nd this year, presents trend leading design management brands and design firms, and introduces upcoming designers every year. This year, the key word for the festival was ‘Sharing.’ The goal was to show service design and system design for those who are thinking about “how to spend time well” than “what to have.” In detail, design shown in the festival had to do with following topics :

HEALTHY
ECO & UP-CYCLING
HEALING
UNIVERSAL
FOR THE AGED
FOR AFTER-WORK LIFE

They have also arranged external exhibition “Seoul Design Spot” which introduces 250 Seoul Design Spots selected by 100 designers. It introduces Dongdaemun Design Park, which was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects the company I worked for in Beijing,  as the main design spot. I’m pretty excited about this, and very happy for my former company. Seoul Design Spot is on till March 31st, 2014.
