Mimesis Art Museum was designed by Alvaro Siza (http://alvarosizavieira.com/) from 2006 to 2009 for Open Books, a Korean publishing company. The building’s highlight is the curved exposed concrete facade facing the garden/lawn. Inside is delightful with natural light and indirect lighting. A cafe, book store, reception area and exhibition area are on ground level, second floor is used for office and meeting room, and third floor has permanent art collections, and a room for seminars. The building feels small but powerful in Paju Book City because of its curved and yet simple form and generous room for green space.
